They click your photo and you get the token they don’t take any ID. Weather it is Guwahati or any destination in India.
This token is free and after taking the token, you have to go ahead following the sign board of General Queue gate in the main temple where your token is scanned and from here, you can enter your queue.
Mukha Darshan:-
If there is less time then you can also do Mukha Darshan here. Without going in the main Sanctum, it’s called from a distance. Most devotees do it from here as there not much time.
Some devotees bring goats with them in Kamakhya Devi temple and goats are sacrificed here. I don’t know how right or wrong this is, but female goats are not sacrificed here. If someone has trouble walking, there’s a free wheelchair facility outside the temple. And in the premises of the temple, there’s free WiFi as well.

Temple Time:-
There’s a lot of confusion about the timing of Darshan in Kamakhya Devi Temple. The temple opens at 5:30AM, but it doesn’t open for Darshan. It opens for the bath of the peethas. And for Darshan, the temple opens at 8:00AM in the morning and it’s open till 1:00 PM. After that, it close and at 2:30 PM it opens again. And it’s open till 5.15 in the evening. So this is the timing.
Best Time:-
Kamakhya Devi temple best time from October to March in the winter. Although it is crowed at this time, but the weather is cool. Whereas, it is very hot from Aprile to September and in July to August, it rains as well.
Kamakhya Devi temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. And this is the place where when Lord Shiv was taking Mata Sati’s body Kailash Parbat. So, her organs were falling everywhere and here, her yoni (genitals and womb) fell. So this place has a lot of recognition, that is why devotees come here from far and wide to have darshan. And it is believed that by doing darshan three times in this temple, you get rid of all the tantric illusions. So, all these things are believed here. And a very interesting fact is that the temple is closed from 22nd June to 25th June . That is, the temple remains open, but the inside door for darshan remains closed. At that time, it is believed that mother goddess menstrual cycle runs. So, because of this, the temple remains closed. So, all these facts are. At that time, there is Ambu Bachi Mela held here which is very popular and lakhs of devotees come here at that time. But at that time, darshan is not done. You can only go to the outside complex of temple and it is said that a cloth is kept here, which is white. It turns red after the fair and then it is distributed as a prasadam to the devotees. So, this is the story of here and this is a very popular place. That’s why devotees come here to do darshan from far and wide.

History Maa Kamakhya:-
According to a legend in ‘Shivpurana’ . When a ‘Yajya’ was performed by ‘Daksha Prajapati’, no invitation was given to Goddess ‘Parvati’. At that time goddess ‘Parvati’ went to his father’s place, she immerses herself in the sacrificial fire a he jumps into it. So, there Lord ‘Shiva’ performed ‘Tandava’ carrying the corpse on his shoulder and moves forward lamenting. All the god and Goddess become worried. In such a situation, Lord ‘Vishnu’ with his ‘Sudarshana Chakra’ divided goddess ‘Bhagwati’ into 51 parts. Out of those 51 parts, Yoni (Womb) fell upon Nilachal Hill.
This form of Goddess worshipped by us symbolises power, growth, regeneration and life-cycle ‘Maa Kamakhya’ is considered the main stronghold of ‘Tantra Vidya’.
